Hello everyone! My first homework assignment for the Beginning class is to draw something that has a great deal of meaning to me, and to try a new technique with watercolor paint and quoache paint. I didn’t feel like I was ready to take on something that big just yet, so to help get warmed up a bit I did a small sketch of my apple timer and a drawing pen. It’s funny how drawing feels harder when you haven’t done it in a while, and it looks clumsier than it should. Actually, I think I need to do a few more simple sketches like this before I try to work with any paints.
